Made of natural fibres, silk tulle is kinder to your skin than synthetic materials.

 

And as it stands the test of time, every silk veil we create is intended to become an heirloom piece, which can be passed down to a bride’s future generations.

For the Chanel gown, the bride chose a custom-made long veil with train from Sophie Raval that featured a gold Chantilly lace trim. Finding the extra-large silk tulle needed to make the pattern was challenging. There was only one supplier in the UK: a Nottingham-based factory, the same one that had also woven Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle's wedding veils.

THE DESIGNER

SOPHIE

A former costume maker for Disney and the Royal Opera House, Sophie Raval became a veil designer in 2017 inspired to celebrate women with bridal pieces designed for them, not the other way around.

​

Her veils have been paired with dresses from designers such as Suzanne Neville, Phillipa Lepley and Vera Wang.
